At Foot Locker New Zealand, we accept various payment methods.
We accept all major credit and debit cards, and other forms of payment, including:

Afterpay
Afterpay allows you to buy now and pay over time, interest-free. With Afterpay, your purchase will be split into 4 payments spread over 6 weeks.
To apply for an Afterpay account, you will need to:
- Live in New Zealand;
- Are at least 18 years old;
- Are capable of entering into a legally binding contract;
- Have a valid and verifiable email address and mobile number; and
- Use a New Zealand credit or debit card to make the purchase.
- Can provide a valid ID such as a NZ Driver Licence and/or NZ Passport
- Not have an overdue balance with any other Buy Now Pay Later provider.

Can I pay using Afterpay?
At Foot Locker New Zealand, we accept Afterpay for both in-store and online purchases.
For online orders, simply select Afterpay as your payment method at the checkout page.
Can I exchange or return my Afterpay purchase?
Exchanges are not available for purchases made with Afterpay. You may choose to return your purchase, provided it meets our return policy, and then place a new order online or in-store.

PayPal payment method is only accepted for online purchases. Unfortunately, it is not available for in-store purchases.
Can I exchange or return my PayPal purchase?

Zip
Zip gives you the freedom and flexibility to get what you want now and pay later. Zip's flexible repayments put you in control by letting you pay later at your own pace, giving you the flexibility to set your repayment schedule to suit your lifestyle – choose weekly, fortnightly, or monthly.

To make a payment using Zip, you will need to:
- Live in New Zealand
- Be at least 18 years old
- Be capable of entering into a legally binding contract
- Have a valid and verifiable email address and NZ mobile number
- Have an NZ bank-issued credit or debit card
- Have a valid NZ Driver Licence or other ID with acceptable proof of address

Can I pay using Zip?
At the moment, we are only accepting Zip payments in-store. We are working on making Zip available online soon!
Can I exchange my Zip purchase?
You will be able to either exchange the items, receive a gift card for the same value, or a refund to the original mode of payment.
Please note that the exchange can only be done once. We will not accept exchanged items to be exchanged again. Regardless of the number of items that are in the purchase, once you have returned any single item, it is counted as a return, and no further exchanges on that same single receipt will be entertained. If you are making a return, please be sure to do it in one transaction.
Can I return my Zip purchase?
Yes, you may return your Zip purchase as long as it meets our Return Policy. The return conditions are as follows:
- Be returned within 28 days of your purchase date
- Be in its original condition
- Be unused
- Have all its original tags attached
- Be in its original packaging in the condition you received it in
For in-store purchases where Zip was the original payment method, simply bring the item(s) you wish to return to any Foot Locker store. Bring along your original receipt and the item you wish to return in its original condition, unused, with all tags and original packaging included.
Web Security & Credit Card Security Code (CVV/CSC)
At Foot Locker New Zealand, we assure you that you can shop safely with us online. Your order will always be processed through a secure server (signified by the security symbol at the bottom of your browser, as well as the "https" web address).
For your protection, when paying by credit or debit card, you will always be asked to enter your credit card security code (CVV/CSC code) at checkout. This is an extra safeguard for credit card purchases. Depending on the credit card type, it's the 3- or 4-digit number printed on the back or the front of your credit card.

For our mutual security, Foot Locker New Zealand reserves the right to hold credit and debit card orders for verification.
Why are multiple charges appearing on my debit/ credit account?
When you place an order using a debit or credit card, an authorisation is obtained from your bank. The authorisation places a temporary hold on the funds.
These funds have not been deducted but are being held within your account to ensure the order can be processed. This hold typically lasts from 3 - 7 calendar days, depending on the policy of your bank. Your debit or credit card will not be charged until your order is shipped.
If your order is sent out in multiple shipments (items may ship from a store, and/or our warehouse), separate authorisations and charges for each shipment may appear on your account.
How will I know that you received my payment?
When you place an order from www.footlocker.co.nz, a temporary authorisation hold is placed on your card to verify the authenticity of your chosen payment method. This hold does not mean payment has been received yet.
We will receive your payment only after we have shipped your order and sent you the Shipping Confirmation email.
My payment keeps getting declined!
As part of our security measures, our system automatically rejects payments if the inserted details don’t match the correct ones. Always be sure to double-check:
- The billing and payment information that you enter
- If there are sufficient funds in your account
- Whether you have to enter the 3- or 4-digit CVV code (if paying with my debit or credit card)
If the transaction keeps getting declined, we recommend contacting your bank about the issue or trying a different payment method.
How can I use my promotional code?
If you have a promotional code for the Foot Locker New Zealand online store, enter the code at checkout in the “Add Promo Code” field. The discount will be automatically applied to the order total.
Promotional codes cannot be combined, are case sensitive, have an expiry date, and exclusions may apply. We invite you to read any terms and conditions related to the discount, for better awareness! Please refer to our Promotion Terms and Conditions for more details.
If your order is cancelled, the pre-authorisation hold will be released. For partial cancellations, you will only be charged for the items not cancelled.
If you have already placed an order but could not apply the promotional code, we are unfortunately unable to make any changes to orders once they are placed. If you’re having trouble with the promotional code, please contact us or use our chatbot for further assistance.
Go Paperless with E-Receipts!
As part of our commitment to environmental sustainability, we now provide e-receipts for in-store purchases!
Simply inform our Stripers of your preference at checkout, and they will send an e-receipt to your email. The e-receipt arrives within minutes, so please wait until you receive it before leaving the store. Please ensure your email address is entered correctly and keep your receipt for any returns or exchanges.
